North Georgia Equine is proudly owned by Liz Turpin. Liz has been professionally training horses for the past 22 years. Liz started out showing 4-H and eventually moved on to the youth division in APHA. Upon graduating high school Liz moved to Wyoming to pursue a degree in Equine Studies attending Northwest College. While in college she was on the judging team, placing 3rd at the Quarter Horse Congress and 4th at the Quarter Horse World Show! After graduating college she went to work for Gary and Linda Gordon in TX but realized she wanted more and moved back to Washington State to begin her own training business. She has successfully stood and shown several stallions and helped many youth and amateur realize their dreams in the show ring. However, she had dreams of her own and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii where she worked on a Paso Fino farm starting young colts and helping finish the others. She also worked at Waikoloa Stables helping to condition and train cutting and reining horses as well as helping with the stallion The Nu Colonel. Three years ago Liz moved with her family to the state of Georgia where she now offers training and lessons in almost any discipline. She specializes in the APHA all around show horse as well as the ranch horse and gaited breeds. However she is experienced in training a well balanced barrel horse, trail horse, hunter, ect.
